Additive Manufacturing for Maritime Production

The U.S. Navy’s collaborative project inside IALR’s Center for Manufacturing Advancement is speeding up production and ensuring higher quality and accuracy by developing and distributing additive manufacturing “recipes.”

Navy's National Training Center Opens

The new home of Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing on the IALR campus will allow the program to graduate 800-1,000 students annually.

Featured Opportunity

IALR is here to help employers in 15 localities in Southern Virginia develop and run effective internship programs. In partnership with the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP), IALR connects businesses with the resources they need, including matching funds. Eligible employers will receive assistance in navigating the logistics of creating an internship program and finding talent.

Virginia employers can nominate themselves and others for the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership Top Employers for Interns Award now through Feb. 28.
IALR is hiring for a variety of career opportunities, including Technical Services Engineer, Manager, Digital Manufacturing and many others.
Computer workshops for programs like Microsoft Excel and Canva are on the calendar for the next six months. General admission is $35.
Learn from experts and enjoy hands-on demonstrations of state-of-the-art technology during a free tour of the IALR campus on March 6.
Family Literacy Night is back on March 13! This free event will feature activities, games, snacks, photo opportunities, a special storytime segment and more.
